I need ideas for a cheap family vacation: we live in Indiana…kids are boy-15, girl , boy 3…we only have about $600 saved to go on a small family vacation- anybody have any cool ideas? we wanted to go to Cedar point but too much money! Tickets alone would be $300 for 2 days.
consider the amusement park at Santa Claus, Indiana. or, go down to KY and explore Mammoth Cave. another option is St Louis where you can visit the arch and visit the free museums. Kings Island in Cincinnati is also a fun place.
Take them camping at KOA Campgrounds www.koa.com Cabins are about 40 – 60 a night … Unless you have camping gears (Tent, sleeping bags, etc) then the sites will be between 15 – 30 bucks a night …
